Potato Soup

I am not so hot at keeping up with this blogging thing: Since Aunt Pat is on vacation, Grandma Kress has both of my kids and Paige this week. She made the girls potato soup for lunch b/c at some point they must have told her they liked it?! She put it in front of them and they just looked at her like she was nuts! you know, like "what in the world is this" kind of look! It was certainly not the fun food that AP gives them. Grandma told they to try it, that they would like it. Kailyn put her hands on her hips and said "no, gee-gomma... YOU eat it"... Grandma took her bowl and ate some, and then told them to eat some. Kailyn then said "no, gee-gomma, YOU eat it. It is good for you." Paige then jumped on the bandwagon, putting her hands on her hips and saying "no me want soup". Grandma said that when she stopped laughing, she asked them what they wanted, to which Kailyn responds: "bologna pizza, cheese and ice cream"... any guesses what they actually had for lunch?

Baking fun

Last night as the boys were at Father/Son basketball, Kailyn and I enjoyed a girl's night! She discovered the easy bake oven (thanks mom!) in her closet and said "mom, mom, mom... i am so happy!" when i asked her why (as she was jumping up and down in glee!) she replied "i found a new kitchen... mom, mom, mom... can we play with it?" I didn't have the heart to say no, she we got it out and revved it up! We made 6 sugar cookies about the size of quarters. I took millions of pictures b/c she told me to! When the boys got home, she started telling them all about it! Bobby, being the very supportive dad says, "no sweetie, i want mommy to have my cookie!" Dang, that man is smart!

Rated PG13

This morning as I was getting dressed, Kailyn was "reading" her letter book. She proceeded to name things in her book and when she got to the camel, I sang "Sally the camel has 2 humps". She responded in a sweet little voice, "momma, you have 2 humps too"... OH, kids make us all smile sometimes!!

It's official!

We are officially selling our house! Bob has worked so hard to get it prepared to sell. I must say that it is beautiful!! If only we could pick it up and move it ... back to reality... In getting the house ready, the kids were very "helpful"... Dylan was the best, as he simply stayed out of the way! But Kailyn always has an opinion (wonder where she gets that :)! Every few minutes, we heard, "that's a goo i-deee ah" or "daddy, me heeellp yew" . In all the kids have been great!
Check out my awesome house online at www.realtyone.com!!

Painting fun!

Kailyn and Dylan and I went to visit a friend from work the other night. There, they played with all kinds of fun stuff- among these things was a paint easel complete with MANY colors! Kailyn went to town painting everything she saw- the newly finished walls, the floor, her pajamas, etc... so last night Aunt Pat tells me a funny story: she was painting the ceiling in her bedroom while my sweet, innocent daughter was playing nicely with her favorite cousin Leenie (Paige). Little did she know that sweet innocent child was dipping the stirring stick in the paint and painting Aunt Pat's bedspread, walls, floor and herself!! (BTW- Paige was not involved at all!) Once she caught her, she said she was so shocked that Kailyn had done that she couldn't do anything but cry :(
So, this morning I told Bobby about it, and he asked our sweet, innocent daughter about it, and she said "daddy, mommy can keen it up for ann paaaat, DUH"... Now everyone is laughing again!
